Credibility

On this year we have a subject called thinking skills that consist in analyzed arguments, we need evidence to support our arguments. To support our arguments we need evidence. For this we need to took the evidence and use the credibility criteria.
Neutrality consists of a source which doesn´t take sides nor manipulate evidence. Also we can find the ''vested information'' that consists in a source that gains something from taking a particular side, therefore they may change or not the information.
The bias consists in favouring a particular view, having a preference of something or seeing thing in a particular way so this reduces the credibility. Then we can find the expertise that consists in an evidence giving by and expert. It is often judged to the highly credible. Their training, knowledge, skills, etc. make them credible sources. However, you can doubt their credibility because experts sometimes are wrong, also standards of expertise change over years.
Reputation refers to a person's character or an organistations standing, this depend on what people thought. However, reputation doesn´t means that the information is accurate.
Eyewitness Accounts is a report by someone who has personally observed the event.
Corroboration is giving support to corroborative evidence refers to pieces of evidence which support each other.
Selectivity is the choice of evidence used to support and argument, sometimes just a particular side of the story is shown in the evidence selected, which reduces credibility.
Context is the setting or the situation in which evidence is produced,
In conclusion is important to analyze the source of evidence, so as to identify factors which may have influenced source.
